This is not even close to true. This is a Game Boy Color. During the GBC era there was Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal. Firstly they forgot Mew who is #151 Secondly, they originally designed 180 Pokemon. That is why sometimes when you trade a glitch Pokemon from RBY to GSC it turns into a 2nd Gen Pokemon. Not only that but before GSC came out Ho-Oh, and maybe even Marill where in the shows.
So no. Back in your day there were not only 150 pokemon.
