You didn’t see this coming. They finally meet
Actually I did see this coming.. Like from a mile away.
But don’t worry about it we can’t all have been right about our predictions about Amon being the blood bending second son of Yakone, or him accidentally unlocking Korra’s air bending when he took away her powers because he was using blood bending to influence the Light chakra point of illusion on the forehead to cause people to think they couldn’t bend and since Korra thought she couldn’t airbend she now could. Also called that she would go avatar state to get her bending back.
What I got wrong, however, is that I thought Bumi might have been IrohII’s father.. whatevs.
Yeah, but Roku was able to do it outside of avatar state. Which is why Aang is able to do it in avatar state because he is using the past knowledge of his previous lives which include Roku. That is why he was able to do it. Not because of his skillz, but because of those who came before him.

James Cameron has made a pretty wide variety of movies in his career, but apparently he’s now just in the business of making Avatar films. As far as his future film plans go, he recently said he’s going to make a second, third and perhaps fourth Avatar movie and then he’s done with anything to do with movies other than maybe some documentaries.
I don’t understand how they are going to make an Avatar 2, Pocahontas 2 was horrible.
Another theory on Amon.
In episode 4 there is a a flash back where we see the characters from the past series as adults.
What if Amon is the mystery man from the flashback, he hates benders because Aang took away his bending. Since then he has been trying to find a way to remove others bending. He has not found a way as powerful as Aang’s instead he is able to block their chi in a way that appears to be permanent. The connection between Amon and the flashback could be due to the fact that Korra possesses all of Aang’s memories and Amon could have triggered one of them when he hit her.
Also, Amon’s story is eerily similar to Mako’s ever notice that? It is totally unrelated because his ability to bend would have been taken away by that point but it is interesting.
If you want to read more crazy theories check out my theory on how Amon could be Tenzin. http://jack-west.tumblr.com/post/22003161663
Note: I am not saying that Amon is Tenzin, those are just some reasons why it could be a possibility.

Note not saying he is Tenzin just that it would be a cool plot twist and there are some facts to make it possible, just not likely.
Here is a list of a few things that could indicate why Tenzin could be Amon:
Now, you say what would his motive be? Well, Tenzin is pretty wise. He could have seen that there was a growing divide between non benders and benders. His wife is one of those examples; she wants their next child to be a non bender. In order to assure that there will truly be peace between the two group they must resolve their differences. So, Tenzin has created a rebellion with which he could expose both sides views, and even though there will be some very serious conflict if the people of the world deserve peace they will be able to accomplish it. Remember, War is Peace.
Makes me cry. Best episode ever.
Note: Iroh tried to capture Ba Sing Se for 600 days and lost his son in the attempt.

This is nice and all, but where is the statue of Iroh?

The best episode so far. I hope they have a statue of Iroh, because he deserved it.
